Our Mission Statement:

"In the midst of our diversity, Spirit of Hope MCCKC celebrates God’s love and acceptance as we share God’s Word with each other, the community and the world."

"Consider Becoming a Lay Pastor "

Training Starts September 24th
Caring for our members is so important that we have some very vital volunteers who are charged with making monthly connection. Each lay pastor has approximately a dozen families which they minister to and help develop connection to the church. Each year we invite members of the congregation to become Lay Pastors.

This year our training will be on 2 Sundays, September 14th and 28th at noon, with lunch provided (along with regular football scores.) During these 2 training sessions we will help prepare our lay pastors to become an important link in the care of the congregation.

After completing the training an interview process takes place to determine if the lay pastorate is the correct one for you. Then in November those who are approved will be set aside during our morning worship. In January families will be assigned to our Lay Pastors.

If you would like more information about this important congregational care ministry or would like to sign up , please see our Lay Pastors to Lay Pastors, Mary W and Lisa P.
