·Spirit of Hope MCC did it again, providing the community with an evening of excellent music.
Justin Ryan's voice is that of comfort. As I sat and listened to his music I felt a peace come over me. Watching the congregation as Justin sang you
could see the same expression on the faces.
Justin came to MCC last year as a fill in for Marsha Stevens-Pino, as Marsha was ill. Many times a fill in is not viewed as the main headliner but just that "as a fill in".
Justin surprised this member.
A sign of how well he did last year was evident with Spirit of Hope MCC asking him back as the main act this year. He did not disappoint anyone. His voice was strong and carried a message to all that listened.
His new album “Revive Us Again” is a collection of “Timeless Hymns with Treasured Friends” (I am listening to it as I write this review), is a album you will want to own. Justin combines his voice with “treasured friends” such as Porter Wagoner, Lynn Anderson and Marsha Stevens-Pino to name just a few.
Justin also shared his story and journey to get where he is now. Like many gay Christians, his story starts out sad, but as watching him on the stage you know that God has blessed him and through his faith he has a church family that embraces him and loves him.
So do not wait buy his latest release “Review Us Again”, you will not be sorry.
