For a little over one year, a group of individuals empowered by the Congregation and selected by the
Board of Directors has
been studying how to plan for the transition that will occur when Pastor John decides to retire.
The Congregation in November 2006 created the Mission Direction and Assessment Team (MDAT) and the
Board selected individuals to serve on the team. The team started meeting in Spring of 2007 and this
week presented their report to the Board of Directors. The Board received their report and will begin
working on the path to implement the recommendations. Please thank the members of the MDAT for their work to
tackle a very important issue regarding the future of our church. Their report was distributed last week in the
Sunday Hope Notes and the E-notes newsletter as well. Copies are available on the bulletin board in the entry way.
